The Green Schools Collaborative will work with your staff to determine which energy efficiency measures are most economic and practical for your schools. Your district can realize lower utility costs from the moment efficiency measures are implemented.

Energy management and efficiency upgrades we recommend will typically pay for themselves in less than three to five years.

Renewable energy projects help you stablize your energy costs, providing long term general fund relief tailored to your needs. The Green Schools Collaborative will identify the combination of renewable technologies and project financing that benefit your school the most.

A typical solar PV system will provide General Fund Relief in the first months of operation, and will continue to provide clean, reliable power and General Fund Relief for up to 25 years or more.

Water

The Green Schools Collaborative analyzes water use in school buildings and on school grounds for irrigation. We identify water-saving strategies that can be easily and quickly implemented, and match those strategies to rebates and incentives to keep implementation costs low. Savings are often realized in less than one year.

Working as a vendor-neutral, impartial advocate for your school, the Green Schools Collaborative can also help you evaluate and select vendors based on your needs and budget. We can also help you verify results once installation is complete.

Equipment Financing & Revenue Optimization

The rate and timing of your ROI depends on the specific programs implemented for your school district. In general, you can expect to see immediate returns on your investments for the following:

Equipment Purchasing:  Immediate return upon implementation.

Construction:  Immediately upon completion. (Some cases, such as those involving track and field construction, may realize immediate returns during the actual course of construction when energy and water use is halted.)

Healthcare Audit:  In some cases, returns are realized immediately.  At a minimum, savings can be expected within one year.

Facilities Use:  Immediate return upon implementation.
